Endian Firewall

In a previous post I wrote about my search for a home firewall that offered similar features to what I am used to at work. I have since found the Endian Firewall.

The Endian Firewall comes in two flavors. The first is a commercial version that comes pre-installed on hardware and includes support. The second is a free community version of the firewall that can be downloaded and installed on a PC.

Both versions offer a wide array of features. The complete list can be viewed on their website, but a few of the features include gateway anti-virus, gateway anti-spam, web content filtering, QoS, and IDS.

So you can build yourself a home firewall with features comparable to your corporate firewall for free by downloading the community version of Endian Firewall and installing it on an old PC. Check it out.

Check out Astaro. It is recommended by Leo Laporte and Steve Gibson from Security Now!
